    64E-11.007Sanitary Facilities and Controls

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 14, 2014, the Department of Health, received a petition for Permanent Variance from subsection 64E-11.007(7), Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), from Titusville American legion Post 1, Inc., 1281 N. Washington Ave., Titusville, FL 32796. Subsection 64E-11.007(7), F.A.C., requires effective control measures to be taken to protect against the entrance into the food establishment and the breeding or presence on the premises of rodents, flies, roaches and other vermin. All building must be effectively rodent-proofed, free of rodents and maintained in a rodent-proof. All openings to the outside air must be effectively protected against the entrance of flies and other flying insects by self-closing doors, windows, screening, controlled air currents or other effective means. Screening materials must be no less than 16 mesh to the inch and screens for window, doors, and other openings to the outside air must be tight fitting and free of breaks. Comments on this petition should be filed with Althea Gaines, Agency Clerk, Department of Health, Office of General Counsel, 4052 Bald Cypress Way, BIN A02, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-1703, within 14 days of this notice.
