PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this rule development is to conform to statutory changes enacted by the 2014 Florida Legislature. The rule addresses instructional programs and academic expectations, student services, student assessment, and transition services in the provision of education to students in these programs. Additionally, the revisions will align the rule with Florida Statutes, including the addition of prevention programs to the title as Department of Juvenile Justice education programs are composed of detention, prevention, residential and day treatment programs.
