Proposals are requested from QUALIFIED CERTIFIED GENERAL OR BUILDING CONTRACTORS by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, hereinafter referred to as OWNER, for the construction of:

PREQUALIFICATION: Each prime Bidder shall be state-certified in accordance with Chapter 489, Florida Statutes, as a Roofing Contractor. Bids from firms not able to furnish proof of the required certification are subject to disqualification.
PROPOSAL: Bids must be submitted in full in accordance with the requirements of the Drawings and the General and Technical Specifications, which may be examined and obtained from the ARCHITECT/ENGINEER:

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. local time. The meeting will be held at Northeast Florida State Hospital Building #37, Chapel Site, State Road 121 South, MacClenny, Florida.

SUMMARY
The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF General Services, Office of Design and Construction and Northeast Florida State Hospital) will handle the coordination with the contractor on this project.
All work to be performed shall be located on the campus of Northeast Florida State Hospital, Building #37, Chapel, State Road 121 South, MacClenny, Florida. The existing building is constructed with an earthen beam surrounding the entire building on all sides. The scope of this project is to remove all earthen beam away from the building, discarding the soil in an onsite pit, pressure wash existing exposed concrete walls, install a thin brick masonry channel system including the thin brick veneer attached to “Z” channels attached to concrete wall, and 2-1/2” inch thick insulation board in-between attached “Z” purlins. Install new continuous gutters with downspouts, break metal trim and final caulking at skylight window unit. All finish grade shall drain away from building and install centipede sod as shown
