    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Project, from NW 15th Street to North Flagler Drive, in Broward County, Florida.

    This project, in the City of Lauderdale Lakes, will address pedestrian safety by constructing a signalized mid-block pedestrian crossing. The mid-block crossing will serve as a safe way for pedestrians, especially local students to cross Sunrise Boulevard. Safety will further be addressed by installing new light poles to increase visibility.

    Construction begins in January 2020 and is estimated to be completed in Spring 2020. The estimated construction cost is $602,297.

    During the informal open house, attendees will have the opportunity to review roadway improvements, construction plans and traffic control plans. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
