PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this rule development is to replace the outdated term of “vocational” with “career and technical” as it applies to educator certification classifications and subject content areas. In addition, minor revisions are recommended to subject specialization rules to align the required content preparation for prospective educators with relevant educator preparation competencies and student standards.
