NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Financial Services, Division of State Fire Marshal has received the petition for declaratory statement from Concord Management, Limited of Maitland, Florida on December 18, 2012, File # 130452-12-FM.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Subdivision 7.10.1.5.1 of NFPA 101, Life Safety Code, Florida Edition as it applies to the petitioner.
The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to whether Subdivision 7.10.1.5.1 of NFPA 1, Life Safety Code, Florida Edition, would allow a three-story apartment building to remove required exit signs installed in each breezeway since the exits are readily apparent to occupants and the signs are an attractive nuisance to younger residents that may lead to injuries.
