NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity issued Final Order No. DEO-15-011 on January 7, 2015, in response to an application submitted by Hideaway Beach Association, Inc. for covenant revitalization under Chapter 720, Part III, Florida Statutes.
The Department determined that the application did not meet the statutory requirements for covenant revitalization because the Department was unable to validate four of the 19 votes approving revitalization; therefore, the total validated votes did not equal “a majority of the affected parcel owners,” which violates Section 720.406(1), Florida Statutes. Accordingly, the Department’s Final Order denied the application for covenant revitalization.
