    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose and effect of this rule development includes addressing the financial responsibility guarantee requirements for possessors of Class I wildlife and the structural requirements for housing captive wildlife. The proposed rule changes pertaining to possession of Class I wildlife are required to implement statutory requirements resulting from the passage of Senate Bill 318 and will require all possessors of Class I wildlife to guarantee financial responsibility. The proposed rule also addresses the strength of material used for facilities housing captive wildlife.
