    The Florida Department of Transportation, District One announces two public information workshops to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Thursday, October 28, 2010, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

    PLACE: Northridge Church Gymnasium, 2250 State Road (S.R.) 17 South, Haines City, FL

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The workshops are being held to afford affected property owners and interested persons the opportunity to express their views regarding the alternative alignments being developed for the proposed Central Polk Parkway in Polk County, Florida. The proposed multi-lane roadways would be built on new alignments. A no-build alternative will remain viable throughout the study process. Both workshops will be held in an open house format to allow persons an opportunity to express their views regarding the location, conceptual design, and social, economic and environmental impacts of the Central Polk Parkway alternative alignments. The western leg of the proposed Central Polk Parkway extends from S.R. 60 east of Bartow northwesterly to the Polk Parkway (S.R. 570). The eastern leg connects S.R. 60 east of Bartow to Interstate 4 in northeast Polk County. Financial Project ID: 423601-1-22-01.
