NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 25, 2018, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Thomasville Road Executive Center at 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Tallahassee, FL. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of Rule 3.11.3 ASME A17.3, 1996 edition and subsection 211.3a(3), ASME A17.1e, 1987 edition, and as adopted by Rule 61C-5.001, Florida Administrative Code, that requires upgrading the elevators with firefighters’ emergency operations an in-car emergency stop switches, which pose a significant economic/financial hardship.
