NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Nursing has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Walter Lampeter on June 26, 2017. The following is a summary of the agency’s disposition of the petition:
The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published June 28, 2017 in Volume 43, No. 125 of the Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner asks whether it is within her scope of practice as a registered nurse to inject dermal fillers and botulinum toxin in a medical office, under physician supervision. The Board’s Order, filed on October 2, 2017, states the Petition filed in this cause is in substantial compliance with the provisions of Section 120.565, F.S., and Rule 28-105, F.A.C. The Board also finds that under the specific facts of the petition, it is not within the scope of the practice of registered nursing to administer injections for aesthetic purposes.
