64B3-5.003: Technologist

The Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel hereby gives notice that it has received an emergency petition for variance or waiver filed on September 30, 2009, from Ivan Marc E. De Los Reyes, who seeks a variance from the training experience requirement set forth in subsection 64B3-5.003(3), Florida Administrative Code, for medical technologists. Petitioner also seeks a variance or waiver from subsection 64B3-2.003(9), F.A.C., which provides the definition of an accredited program as a clinical laboratory personnel training program that is accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA), National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), Council on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or Accrediting Bureau of Heath Education Schools (ABHES).
