2009 TREE PLANTING
The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) is requesting bids for tree planting projects on approximately 1,500 acres of land owned by the District. The purpose of these projects is to plant bare-root slash and longleaf pine seedlings, and containerized longleaf pine seedlings on cutover sites. District policies allow for this type of contract to be extended for two additional years without bidding if contractors rates stay the same, work is satisfactory and funding is available.
Bidders shall submit a bid indicating a per acre fee for each type of planting prior to 4:00 p.m., October 31, 2008. The results will be forwarded to the Governing Board at the November 13, 2008, meeting for their consideration.
