The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, October 9, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
PLACE: Redeemer City Church, 1410 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, Florida 33884
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation will host an open house to provide details on the upcoming construction project on SR 542, from 1st Street to east of Buckeye Loop Road, in Winter Haven, Florida. Improvements being made as part of this project consist of widening SR 542 and adding a center turn lane from 1st Street to Buckeye Loop Road, adding a grassed median from Buckeye Loop Road to Woodfern Drive, resurfacing from Woodfern Drive to Florida Drive, adding sidewalk and bike lanes, upgrading signal equipment and placing mid-block crosswalks. There will be no formal presentation. Project staff will be available to answer questions regarding access to businesses and residents, lane/road closures and detours and other project related information.
