    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: A Virtual Public Hearing (VPH) for the SR 580 (Main Street) median modifications at US 19, FPN: 427163-1-52-01.

    You may participate in the VPH in several ways: 1) From any computer with an internet connection by registering at: https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/412526402 or 2) Attend in person at one of the locations listed above. If you plan to participate over the internet, advance registration is required. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the hearing. The VPH will open at 2:00 p.m. and the presentation will start promptly at 2:15 p.m.

    This public hearing is being conducted to afford affected property and business owners, interested persons, and organizations the opportunity to provide comments to the Department regarding the potential impacts of the proposed median changes on SR 580 at US 19. Proposed changes include lengthening the eastbound and westbound left turn lanes on SR 580 at US 19 to relieve traffic congestion. A concrete traffic separator will be constructed along the lengthened left turn lanes closing the existing median openings.

    This hearing is being held pursuant to Chapters 120, 335.18 and 335.199, Florida Statutes. The Department will receive verbal and written comments online and at each virtual hearing location. Written comments not received at the hearing can be emailed to: roadwork@dot.state.fl.us or mailed to: Florida Department of Transportation, District Seven, 11201 N. McKinley Drive, MS #7-600, ATTN: VPH #: 427163-1, Tampa, Florida 33612. All comments must be postmarked by November 28, 2011, to become part of the official public hearing record.
