NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Management Services, Division of Retirement, has received a petition for declaratory statement from the Town of Palm Beach, Florida on October 15, 2018. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Sections 175.411 and 185.60, Florida Statutes, as they apply to the petitioner.

Petitioner requests the Department's interpretation as to whether the Town—which withdrew from participation in Chapters 175 and 185, Florida Statutes, in 2012—can renew its participation under Chapters 175 and 185, Florida Statutes.
