Board of Massage Therapy

The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on July 29, 2015, by Barbara Stratton. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 41, No. 151, of the August 5, 2015 Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance or waiver of the. requirement of twelve C.E.U.s in person. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on September 9, 2015, via telephone conference call.

The Board’s Order, filed on September 29, 2015, denied the petition for wavier or variance of Rule 64B7-28.009, F.A.C. The Applicant has not met the purpose of the underlying statutory requirement for continuing education to ensure continued competency.
