    Board of Professional Engineers

The Board of Professional Engineers hereby gives notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on June 9, 2017, by C. Renee Robertson, P.E. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published June 15, 2017 in Vol. 43, No. 116 of the Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance from or a waiver of paragraph 61G15-20.007(1)(c), F.A.C.’s requirement that applicants for licensure without EAC/ABET accredited degrees possess required hours of coursework in specified areas. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on August 10, 2017, in Orlando, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on September 7, 2017, denied the Petition for a Variance or Waiver because the Petitioner failed to meet the purpose of the underlying statute by other means, and failed to demonstrate application of the rule to Petitioner would create an undue hardship.
