    DATE AND TIME: Wednesday, November 1, 2017, 5:30 p.m.7:30 p.m.

PLACE: New River Civic Center, 60 Weston Road, Sunrise, FL 33326

Project Description: NW 136th Avenue at SR 84 and I-595 Intersection Improvement Project in Broward County.

The goal of this project is to improve traffic operation and safety at the interchange. This interchange experiences frequent traffic delays, long queues in the existing turn lanes and a high number of rear-end collisions. The project proposes the addition of a third westbound to northbound right-turn lane from SR 84 to NW 136th Avenue, as well as replacing and widening of the existing bridges over the North New River Canal to increase storage for southbound to eastbound left turns at SR 84 eastbound. The project also includes the conversion of an existing northbound through lane on NW 136th Avenue to a combination northbound left-turn lane at SR 84 westbound, realign SR 84 eastbound lanes through the NW 136th Avenue intersection to improve mobility of I-595 and SR 84, and accommodates designated bicycle lanes on NW 136th Avenue and SR 84.

The Public Information Workshop will have an open-house format and staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance at any time during the workshop.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
