11B-27.00213Temporary Employment Authorization
The Department of Law Enforcement hereby gives notice:
that on January 25, 2019, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, received a petition for a permanent waiver of paragraph 11B-27.00213(4)(b), F.A.C. from David L. Johnson. The Petitioner wishes to temporarily waive that portion of the rule that states: Agencies applying to temporarily employ or appoint an individual who has had a previous TEA registered with the Commission in the same discipline may do so only if: (a) the individual was previously certified as a full-time or part-time officer; or (b) The individual was previously hired on a TEA and has separated from the employing agency or discontinued training while in good standing, and has had a break-in-service from the last employment for a minimum of four years. Notice of the petition was published in the Florida Administrative Register on 01-30-19 at 45/20. The Petition for Permanent Waiver was GRANTED on February 18, 2019. Petitioner met the standard for obtaining the waiver.
