    Request for Applications 2016-112 – SAIL Financing for the Construction of Workforce Housing in Miami-Dade County and Monroe County

    This Request for Applications (RFA) is open to Applicants proposing the construction of workforce housing for Families in Miami-Dade County and Monroe County. Under this RFA, Florida Housing Finance Corporation (the Corporation) expects to have up to an estimated $20 million of State Apartment Incentive Loan (SAIL) workforce funding available for proposed Developments located in Miami-Dade County and Monroe County. For proposed Developments located in Miami-Dade County, the Corporation will offer an estimated $17 million of Workforce SAIL funding, to be used with Tax-Exempt Bonds (issued by the Corporation or the Housing Finance Authority of Miami-Dade County) and Non-Competitive Housing Credits. For proposed Developments located in Monroe County, the Corporation will offer an estimated $3 million of Workforce SAIL funding and an estimated $900,000 of Competitive Housing Credits, as well as an additional $2.4 million of SAIL funding for proposed Developments committing to the 80 percent workforce set-aside.
