Suwannee River Water Management District
RFQ 13/14-006 ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES
The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) is conducting this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Engineering Design Services for its Ichetucknee Springshed Water Quality Improvement Project. The City of Lake City, Columbia County, and the SRWMD are cooperating to implement this project. The project has received funding from the State of Florida with matching funds from the three project cooperators. The project cooperators require the services of an engineer or engineering firm licensed under chapter 471, Florida Statutes, to design the conversion of an existing spray field to a constructed treatment wetlands system, prepare all plans and specifications to enable the project cooperators to bid and construct the project, and assist with construction oversight.
Respondents must possess qualifications and experience in design of wastewater treatment, effluent reuse and disposal systems, nutrient removal systems, hydrology, hydraulics, constructed treatment wetlands for nutrient removal, geology, threatened and endangered species, and accelerated design and permitting processes. Respondents may be a team consisting of a prime with sub consultants.
Request for Qualification packages and additional information are available on the District's website www.mysuwanneeriver.com. Responses are due by 10:00 a.m. November 15, 2013.
In order to assure a uniformity of supplemental and clarifying information that is provided to proposers and to allow proposers an opportunity to ask specific questions before submitting a proposal, a question and answer (Q&A) period will be provided. Questions are to be emailed to Dave Dickens at RDD@srwmd.org before 4:00 p.m. October 30, 2013; answers will be posted on the District website by October 31, 2013.
