    FISH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION COMMISSION

    The FISH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION COMMISSION announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: November 1, 2019, 9:00 a.m.

    PLACE: Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, 100 8th Avenue SE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. (Video conference will not be provided).

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This is the meeting of the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute Grants Program Committee to evaluate a proposal entitled “Florida Red Tide Mitigation and Technology Development Initiative.” The Florida Red Tide Mitigation and Technology Development Initiative was established by the Florida Legislature under 379.2273 Florida Statutes and signed into law by Governor DeSantis in June of 2019. The Initiative allocates $3,000,000 per year with a total six-year appropriation of $18,000,000 to Mote Marine Laboratory. The proposal outlines the scope of work for the six-year Initiative.
