The Board of Accountancy hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order Denying the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on July 5, 2023, by Fredric Walker. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 49, No. 141, of the July 21, 2023, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver or variance of Rule 61H1-31.006, F.A.C., which required that each Florida certified public accountant for reactivation of a delinquent status license to active shall pay a fee of $250.00. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on September 8, 2023, in Orlando, Florida.
The Board’s Order, filed on October 12, 2023, denied the petition stating that Petitioner’s request does not meet the requirements for variance or waiver of the rule.
