Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Studies

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding an Alternatives Public Meeting for the NE 25th Avenue and NE 36th Avenue PD&E studies. We will present design alternatives for improving safety, adding capacity and constructing a railroad overpass on both NE 25th Avenue from SR 492/ NE 14th Street to NE 35th Street, and NE 36th Avenue from SR 492/ NE 14th Street to NE 35th Street. The need for the proposed improvements is based on a projected increase in vehicular and rail traffic.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 14 at the Ocala Police Department Community Room located at 402 South Pine Avenue in Ocala, FL. It is an open house from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Attendees may watch a video presentation that will be running on a continuous loop, review study information, and discuss the design alternatives with the study team. This meeting provides interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the social, economic and environmental impacts of the proposed design alternatives.
