NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 28, 2014, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Water Street Parking Garage. Petitioner seeks an emergency temporary variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1, Section 2.27.1.1.1, 8.6.1.6.5, 2.7.1.1, 2.12.5 and 2.11.11.5.3, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code, that requires upgrading the elevators two-way communication, fire-resistive construction, restricted opening of hoistway or car doors, panels and fire extinguishers which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
