    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose and effect of these amendments to the District’s rules for the regulation of wells is to incorporate updated versions of related rules adopted by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), adopt the new Water Well Construction Disciplinary Guidelines and Citations Dictionary, adopt revised forms for well contractor licensing and license renewal, adopt a revised form for use with well grouting or abandonment, directly incorporate by reference additional materials that are applicable to the regulation of water well construction, and make other minor correcting amendments. The amendments will make the District’s rules consistent with rules recently adopted by the DEP and with recent statutory amendments for the licensing of water well contractors.
