The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety hereby gives notice: On October 25, 2024, the Department received a request withdrawing the Petition for Variance from John Knox Village Clubhouse, filed September 18, 2024, and advertised on September 24, 2024, in Vol. 50 No. 187 of the Florida Administrative Register. The Petition for variance requested a variance from Rule 2.7.6.3.2, ASME A17.1, 2016 edition and Section 3005.1 Florida Building Code, as adopted by Rule 61C-5.001 Florida Administrative Code that requires the motor controller shall be located in a machinery space, machine room, control space, or control room. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety is taking no further action on the petition (VW2024-149).
