    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board has received the petition for declaratory statement from the Collier County Fire Code Official. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Section 489.503(14)(b), F.S. as it applies to the petitioner.

    The Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board hereby gives notice that on October 10, 2008, it received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed by Collier County Fire Code Official. The Petitioner seeks the Board’s interpretation of Section 489.503(14)(b), F.S., as it applies to the particular issue raised by the petitioner and requests that the Board issue a declaratory statement. Specifically, the Petitioner is requesting that the Board issue a Declaratory Statement determining whether Embarq, a public utility company, is permitted by virtue of its license held as a public utility to perform certain work itemized and described at length in the petition.
