The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety hereby gives notice:

On September 30, 2016, the Department received a request withdrawing the Petition for variance from Florida A&M University, filed June 30, 2016, and advertised on July 6, 2016 in Vol. 42, No. 130, of the Florida Administrative Register. The Petition for variance requested a variance from ASME A17.1, Sections 2.4.1.5, 2.15.9.2, 2.4.6.2(c), and 2.10.2.1, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code, to request the use of a folding car top rail and retractable toe guard for the existing 4 foot deep pit. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety is taking no further action on the petition (VW2016-156).
