    PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

    INVITATION TO BID

    The State of Florida, Department of Military Affairs (DMA), Construction & Facility Management Office (CFMO) requests bids from State of Florida registered licensed General or Building Contractors (GC) for the following project located at Arcadia National Guard Armory, Arcadia, Florida.

    PROJECT: 216005 Arcadia MOV Parking, Arcadia National Guard Armory, Arcadia, Florida

     

    FUNDING: The State of Florida's performance and obligation to pay under this contract is contingent upon availability of funding and an annual appropriation by the Legislature.

     

    BID OPENING DATE: As stated on the Vendor Bid System (late bids will not be accepted)

    MANDATORY PRE-BID/SITE VISIT DATE: As stated on the Vendor Bid System

     

    GENERAL STATEMENT OF WORK: New 6” concrete MOV parking slab (8,000 square yards) with grade prep & new retention pond. (Including the removal &/or modification of the existing MOV civil structures and swales.) Provide a new (FE-7) fence system around additional MOV parking scope and conventional 6’h new chain link fence around new retention pond. POV parking scope includes milling and overlay of the existing pavement (a total of 1 ½”) in addition to the POV striping scope. New site lighting scope for the new MOV parking area only.

     

    Project must meet Florida Building Code, State Fire Marshall, local Authorities Having Jurisdiction and Area Water Management requirements, and any other permits and fees required by other county, local or state authorities.

     

    The Department reserves the right to reject any and all submissions or accept minor irregularities in the best interest of the DMA.
