NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Real Estate Commission has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Deborah L. Wise, PhD., on July 18, 2018. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition: The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 44, No. 146, of the July 27, 2018, Florida Administrative Register. The Petitioner sought a Declaratory Statement from the Commission with regard to Rule 61J2-10.026, Florida Administrative Code, asking whether using the term “property” in her team or group name logo for advertising is allowed after July 1, 2019. The Florida Real Estate Commission considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on September 17-19, 2018, in Orlando, Florida. After discussion, the Commission answered the petitioner’s question in the negative due to the requirements of Rule 61J2-10.026, F.A.C. The Commission’s Order, was filed on October 4, 2018.
