NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 05, 2016, the Department of Health, received a petition for variance from Alvaro Mendoza, representing Commercial Energy Specialists. Specifically, the petitioner seeks variance from section 454.1.6.5.16.6 - 3., of Florida Building Code, Building, Chapter 4-Special Occupancy. This section is incorporated by reference in Rule 64E-9.001, Florida Administrative Code, and requires ultraviolet disinfectant equipment used at a public swimming pool must be validated by a capable party to perform and complies with all professional practices in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency UV disinfectant guidance manual dated 11/2006.
