FLORIDA CATEGORICAL EXCLUSION NOTICE

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that Marion County's proposed project to expand the existing Northwest Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility from 0.20 million gallons per day (MGD) to 0.80 MGD is not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The total estimated construction cost is approximately $16,000,000. The project may qualify for a Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan comprised of federal or state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed project that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice.
