LEGAL NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOLLOWING PROCEDURES OF THE CONSULTANT’S COMPETITIVE NEGOTIATION ACT, CHAPTER 287.055, FLORIDA STATUTES
The Board of Trustees of New College of Florida (NCF) announces Professional Services will be required by qualified Construction Management (CM) Firms registered in the State of Florida.
The project will consist of new construction of approximately 22,000 gross square feet, within a two-story science laboratory building. The estimated construction cost for this project is $6.1 Million. This building will be located on the NCF campus adjacent to the existing Rolland V. Heiser Natural Sciences Complex and built to LEED certification standards. Funding for the design and pre-construction phase has been appropriated. It is anticipated that project funding for construction will be fully appropriated in the summer of 2015. However, since the construction phase of this project is contingent upon State of Florida appropriations which have not been received, the project cannot proceed until it has been appropriated. The selected CM firm will also be participating in the required Florida Dept. of State, Division of Cultural Affairs “Art in State Buildings” program as it relates to this project.
Applicants for the project must apply in writing for consideration. Interested CM firms must submit the information required by the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) application packet which includes the firm’s abilities with respect to the specific project requirements, a synopsis of the firm’s qualifications, past educational science facility experience and resumes of key personnel.
Request for Qualifications for CM Services, RFQ #15-02-ML, may be viewed and downloaded from the College’s Facilities & Purchasing webpages: http://www.ncf.edu/facilities or http://www.ncf.edu/purchasing. Questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted no later than 5 days prior to the RFQ due date. All questions and responses will be posted to the NCF Facilities & Purchasing webpages listed above. There will be no verbal questions received or answered.
Return the printed and completed Statement of Qualification to New College of Florida, Office of Facilities, Planning & Construction, 5510 General Twining Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34243, Attention: Alan Burr, Director - Facilities & Construction, no later than Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. No electronic submittals will be accepted. NCF will not be responsible for any delays in delivery.
The Professional Services Selection Committee will meet to review and rank the RFQs Thursday, December 11, 2014 in the NCF Jane Bancroft Cook Library, 5800 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL 34243, Room 228 at 8:00 a.m. to review and score the statements of qualifications received by NCF.
No fewer than three (3) firms may be asked to make presentations to the Professional Service Selection Committee on January 8, 2015, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the NCF Jane Bancroft Cook Library, 5800 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL 34243, Room 228. Any addenda to the RFQ will be issued on the College’s Facilities & Purchasing webpages.
