    The Florida Department of Transportation invites you to attend and participate in a public hearing for the Interstate 75 (SR 93) Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study (WPI Seg. No.: 411014-1; FAP No.: 0751-1201). The proposed project involves widening I-75 from north of State Road 52 in Pasco County to just south of County Road 476B in Sumter County, a distance of approximately 21.5 miles. The public hearing will be held at the following location:

    DATE AND TIME: Wednesday, December 13, 2006, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

    PLACE: Ridge Manor West Community Center, 6376 Windmere Road, Brooksville, FL 34602-7509

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The hearing is being held to allow interested persons the opportunity to provide comments concerning the recommended “Build” Alternative for the project. The project proposes widening I-75 from four to eight lanes with construction occurring in two phases. Phase one would widen the interstate from four to six lanes to accommodate existing traffic needs. As traffic increases in the future, phase two would widen the interstate from six to eight lanes.

    The public hearing is being conducted pursuant to Chapter 339, Florida Statutes, 23 CFR 771, 23 U.S.C. 128, Chapter 120 Florida Statutes and Title VI and Title VIII of the United States Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1968.
