    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Florida Building Commission has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Mr. Jeffrey K. Hulsberg, P.E., on behalf of Hulsberg Engineering on June 28, 2007. The following is a summary of the agency’s disposition of the petition:

    The Commission determined that a proposed building located 900 feet from the shoreline, that would be the first building on the shoreline next to the water, unobstructed by other buildings, would be within Exposure Category D pursuant to under section R301.2.1.4 of the Florida Building Code, Residential Volume (2004, as amended 12/05, 12/06 and 7/07). The Commission also determined that in this case, the length of the transition zone from Exposure D to the next applicable inland exposure category B would be 1500 feet, and that the home proposed by the Petitioner is within this transition zone.
