    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Florida Housing expects to offer approximately $9.3 million in State Apartment Incentive Loan (SAIL) financing through a Request for Applications for the construction or acquisition and rehabilitation of smaller (10 – 30 units) Permanent Supportive Housing properties for Persons with Special Needs. Section 420.0004 (13), Florida Statutes, defined a “Person with special needs” as an adult person requiring independent living services in order to maintain housing or develop independent living skills and who has a disabling condition; a young adult formerly in foster care who is eligible for services under section 409.1451(5), Florida Statutes; a survivor of domestic violence as defined in section 741.28, Florida Statutes; or a person receiving benefits under the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program or the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program or from veterans’ disability benefits.
