6M-8.620Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Pre- and Post Assessments

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 17, 2016, the Office of Early Learning, received a petition for a temporary variance from paragraphs 6M-8.620(3)(a) and (c), F.A.C., from the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe. The referenced provisions relate to the requirement that Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) providers administer the Florida VPK Assessment during Assessment Period One (AP1) and electronically report assessment data within a specified time frame. Petitioner is requesting a variance extending the time deadlines for the Florida VPK Assessment AP1 to be administered as well as a variance extending the time to submit electronic assessment data. The Office will accept comments concerning the Petition for fourteen (14) days from the date of publication of this notice. To be considered, comments must be received before 5:00 p.m.
