The Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board hereby gives notice that on October 21, 2016, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance and Waiver. The Petition was filed by Gregory S. Stone, on September 15, 2016, seeking a variance or waiver of paragraph 61J1-4.010(1)(c), F.A.C., that he be state-certified for a minimum of four (4) years, due to the 40-day lapse in certification. The Notice was published in Volume 42, No. 181, of the Florida Administrative Register, on September 16, 2016. The Board, at its meeting held on October 3, 2016, voted to grant the Petition for Variance or Waiver finding that the Petitioner demonstrated a substantial hardship; that application of the rule would violate the principles of fairness; and that the purpose of the underlying statute has been met.
