    6A-20.045Open Door Grant Program

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To implement changes to the Open Door Grant Program associated with Chapter 2023-81, Laws of Florida, due to the passing of Senate Bill 240 during the 2023 legislative session that modifies section 1009.895, Florida Statutes, to convert the Open Door Grant Program to a financial aid program for students of a state college or technical center to incentivize current and future workers to enroll in CTE that leads to a credential, certificate, or degree. The statutory modifications require participating postsecondary institutions to administer the grant program in accordance with rules of the State Board of Education.
