PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of the amendment to Rule 59G-4.250, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), is to incorporate by reference the Florida Medicaid Prescribed Drug Services Coverage Policy, __________.
SUMMARY: The amendment includes technical changes and updates policy language, revises immunization and vaccine coverage to include all recipients pursuant to the federal Inflation Reduction Act and adds Florida Medicaid coverage for continuous glucose monitors to the prescribed drugs benefit in accordance with section 409.9063, Florida Statutes.
SUMMARY OF STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED REGULATORY COSTS AND LEGISLATIVE RATIFICATION:
The Agency has determined that this will not have an adverse impact on small business or likely increase directly or indirectly regulatory costs in excess of $200,000 in the aggregate within one year after the implementation of the rule. A SERC has not been prepared by the Agency.
The Agency has determined that the proposed rule is not expected to require legislative ratification based on the statement of estimated regulatory costs or if no SERC is required, the information expressly relied upon and described herein: A checklist was prepared by the Agency to determine the need for a SERC.
Any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of estimated regulatory costs, or provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative must do so in writing within 21 days of this notice.

(1) This rule applies to all providers rendering Florida Medicaid prescribed drug services to recipients.
(2) All providers must be in compliance with the provisions of the Florida Medicaid Prescribed Drug Services Coverage Policy, ___________December 2017, incorporated by reference. (3) This rule is in effect for five years from its effective date.
