    The Gulf Consortium, Committee of the Eight Disproportionately Affected Counties announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
    DATE AND TIME: December 7, 2012, 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.(CST), or upon completion of the agenda.
    PLACE: Walton County Coastal Branch Library, 437 Greenway Trail, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.
    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Gulf Consortium has formed the Committee of the Eight Disproportionately Affected Counties consisting of a representative from each of the following counties: Wakulla, Franklin, Gulf, Bay, Walton, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Escambia. The purpose of the Committee is to develop an agreed-upon formula by consensus of the Committee members for allocating monies from the Federal RESTORE Act that are not subject to a federal formula but are directed to the Affected Counties. This notice announces the first meeting of the Committee to organize itself and to begin developing the formula.
    Please note that some of the members of the Gulf Consortium Committee of the Eight Disproportionately Affected Counties may also be members of the Commission on Oil Spill Response Coordination (the “Commission“). It is possible that Committee members and members of the Commission may discuss items of mutual interest at meetings of either group. The Commission has a scheduled meeting at 9:00 a.m. on December 7, 2012 at the Walton County- South Annex Branch Office, 31 Coastal Centre Blvd, Santa Rosa, FL 32459. The Committee meeting will take place during the lunch break of the Commission Meeting. Notice of the Commission meeting was published in the Florida Administrative Weekly on various dates, including the September 21, 2012 edition.
