NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Board of Medicine has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Shomika Patange on July 05, 2019. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:

The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 45, No. 135 of the July 12, 2019, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner inquired as to whether she would be eligible for a Florida license as a Dietician/Nutritionist under Section 468.509, F.S., The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on October 4, 2019, in Tampa, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on October 17, 2019, concludes that it does not. The Board is of the opinion that the statute squarely addressed Petitioner’s inquiry. Petitioner is not eligible for Florida license based upon her graduation from a university that was not accredited at the time of her graduation.
