NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from Codes - ABC, Inc. The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of section R403.7.1, Florida Building Code, Residential, 7th Edition (2017) as it applies to the petitioner.

Petitioner seeks clarification about the application of the above-referenced code section to a plan review it is conducting for a single-family residence. Petitioner poses the following questions: 1) Does the Manual J and S calculation as submitted for permitting need to include the following as part of the printout? a) Worksheet A information, b) Input summary including building envelope component values, and c) Heat Load summary for each system. 2) Is a 'short form' as submitted an acceptable calculation for Manual J?
