62-701.730: Construction and Demolition Debris Disposal and Recycling

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on October 14, 2008, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has issued an order.

The Department has issued an Intent to Deny a variance to Rapid Management Company. Pursuant to Section 403.201, F.S., the Petitioner requested relief from subsection 62-701.730(11), F.A.C., and Section 403.707(9)(c), F.S., which require owners or operators of construction and demolition debris disposal facilities to provide financial assurance for closure. The Department concluded that the Petitioner had not shown that it met any of the three reasons set forth in Section 403.201, F.S., that would entitle it to a variance.
