The University of Florida, Purchasing and Disbursement Services will receive sealed bids for the following: ITB09SVF-130, Balm Center Graduate Housing, Gulf Coast Research and Education Center (GCREC), Wimauma, FL, estimated budget: $260,000, to be opened December 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., 101 Elmore Hall, Radio Road, Gainesville, FL.
Scope of work: The work includes 100% construction of a 2,540 sf enclosed four bedroom, two bath residential building per plans and specifications prepared by Ponikvar and Associates. The graduate residence shall be constructed of brick veneer on 2 x 4 wood framing with pre-engineered wood trusses. The structure will have complete MEP systems as well as a fire alarm and sprinkler system. Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held November 18, 2008, 10:00 a.m., in the Balm Center (GCREC), 14625 CR-672, Wimauma, FL.
