NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from GL Homes & the Florida Home Builders Association. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Sections R202 & R302.1, Florida Building Code 5th edition (2014), Residential & Section 481.203(7), F.S. as they apply to the petitioner.

Petitioner seeks clarification of whether the definition of “townhouse” is contradictory with regard to zero lot line provisions & fire separation distance with regard to the above-referenced sections.
