NOTICE OF CHANGE
Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 42 No. 191, September 30, 2016 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.
These changes are being made to address comments expressed by the Joint Administrative Procedures Committee in a letter dated October 20, 2016.
The following changes are made to the content of the Florida Workers’ Compensation Health Care Provider Manual, 2016 Edition:
Chapter 1: Introduction and Overview
Health Care Provider Use of Codes, Descriptors and Modifiers: The references to Rule Chapter 69L-8, F.A.C., on page 12 is replaced with specific references to Rules 69L-8.071 and 69L-8.074, F.A.C.
Chapter 2: Medical Services
Special Billing Requirements for Anesthesia: The reference to Rule Chapter 69L-7, F.A.C., in the note at the bottom of page 26 has been changed to a specific reference to Rule 69L-7.730(2), F.A.C.
Codes and Descriptions for Medications: The reference to Rule Chapter 69L-8, F.A.C., on page 35 is replaced with specific references to Rules 69L-8.071 and 69L-8.074, F.A.C.
Appendix A: Workers’ Compensation Unique Procedure Codes
DSPNS and COMPD: The reference to Rule Chapter 69L-7, F.A.C., on page 415 is changed to a specific reference to Rule 69L-7.720(1), F.A.C.
69L-7.020 Florida Workers’ Compensation Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual.
(1) The Florida Workers’ Compensation Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual, 2016 2015 Edition, to become effective on July 1, 2017 http://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-05618, is adopted by reference as part of this rule. The manual contains the Maximum Reimbursement Allowances determined by the Three-Member Panel, pursuant to subsection 440.13(12), F.S., and establishes reimbursement policies, guidelines, codes, and maximum reimbursement allowances for services and supplies provided by health care providers. Also, the manual includes reimbursement policies and payment methodologies for pharmacists and medical suppliers.
