NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 06, 2023, the Board of Medicine, received a petition for variance or waiver filed by Saba Jazmin Kazravan, DNP, MSN, MBA, RNFA, CNOR, C-SSGB, RN, regarding subsection 64B8-51.001(2), F.A.C., which requires that all applications must include an official transcript from a school of electrology which identifies the credits taken by home study or correspondence courses and those taken in classroom settings. Petitioner request that the Board accepts the certificate of completion of 600 hours of electrolysis training from Milpitas Electrologist College, earned July 8, 1994, to meet the requirement and intent of the rule and that same be accepted in lieu of providing the official transcript. Petitioner is also requesting that the Board consider the training and experience completed in laser and light-based hair removal in satisfaction of the requirements of Rule 64B8-53.002, F.A.C., regarding the electrolysis training curriculum standards. Comments on this petition should be filed with the Board of Medicine, 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin #C03, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3053, within 14 days of publication of this notice.
